Newly signed quarterback Tyler Huntley entered the game at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in the third quarter, and the offense still continued to add to its lead late against the Carolina Panthers.
In the fourth quarter, Huntley led the Browns on a ten-play, 59-yard drive that ended in a six-yard touchdown pass to undrafted rookie wide receiver Cade McDonald. Dustin Hopkins’ extra point was no good, which put the Browns’ lead at 30-7. Each of Huntley’s first two drives tonight led to points, as a 9-play Huntley drive resulted in a field goal earlier in the fourth quarter. With the score, the Browns have now put up 30 unanswered points since Carolina took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
McDonald, who signed with the team in May, is another rookie wide receiver looking to assert himself as being in the mix at the position, alongside fellow rookies Luke Floriea and Gage Larvadain.
