European allies renewed calls to pressure Russia overnight as they rallied behind Ukraine in insisting that any deal to end the war include Kyiv ahead of peace talks in Alaska next Friday between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The White House later confirmed that Trump would be open to a trilateral summit with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, who has rejected the US idea of ceding Ukrainian land to secure peace.
