Innovative Artists Entertainment has signed Comedian CP and Benji Brown for representation in all areas.
Comedian CP is currently a writer and producer on the second season of “Diarra From Detroit” for BET+. He previously served as a writer/producer and played DeShawn on “How to Die Alone” for Hulu/Onyx, winner of the Independent Spirit Award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Scripted Series. He also starred on the second season of the HBO Max anthology series “Love Life,” which will be streaming on Netflix starting Aug. 5th. Comedian CP created and starred in the Adult Swim special “Ole Bud’s Anu Football Weekly” and recurred as Ned on the critically acclaimed Comedy Central series “Detroiters.” “Sunday After Six,” his debut comedy special produced by 800 Pound Gorilla and Artists First is currently available on VEEPS as well as all TVOD platforms.
He continues to be represented by Artists First and attorney Gregg Gellman.
Benji Brown currently hosts Martin Lawrence’s “Yall Know What It Is Tour,” taking place from now until Fall 2025. Brown led the “Act Crazy If You Want To” tour as a stand alone headliner in 2019. He’s worked with additional headliners including Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, Rickey Smiley and Monique. His list of shows and appearances include “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘n Out” (Lionsgate), “The Rickey Smiley Show” and “Jamie Foxx Presents Laffapalooza.”
The signings come amid a period of continued growth for Innovative Artists Entertainment, particularly in the comedy division, whose worldwide group is led by Tamra Goins.
