Jennifer Aniston has nothing but love for her friend Gwyneth Paltrow ― despite the two once both being betrothed to the same man.
Paltrow and Aniston both famously dated ― and were both engaged to ― Brad Pitt. Only Pitt and Aniston made it down the aisle, and the two were married from 2000 to 2005.
“Ironically, I went to her and Brad’s engagement party,” Aniston said in a new interview with Vanity Fair, published earlier this week.
When the author of the piece asked if the two still spoke about Pitt, Aniston answered, “Oh, of course.”
“How can we not? We’re girls,” she said.
But Vanity Fair added that the two actually talk about wellness more than their famous ex.
“We’re always swapping advice—‘What are you doing for this? What are you doing for that? Do you have a new doctor for that?’” she added.
Paltrow and Pitt dated for two years before Pitt proposed in 1996.
The two called things off just six months later, which Paltrow said “was the right thing to do” while opening up about the broken engagement during an interview with Alex Cooper of “Call Her Daddy” in 2023.
The Goop founder added it was “major love at first sight” with Pitt.
“He’s a great guy,” Paltrow told Cooper. “He’s wonderful, I really like him a lot.”

She also once compared dating the “Fight Club” star to dating a royal, as the two’s relationship will forever be a source of continued interest.
“It’s like having dated, I don’t know, Prince William or something. That’s always going to come up,” the wellness guru said in an interview with Vanity Fair earlier this year.
