UConn Basketball went out and added a second European player to their 2025 recruiting class on Monday morning, as Rrezon Elezay from Turkey will join the Huskies program per a report from Joe Tipton of On3 / Rivals.
Elezay is expected to join the team this upcoming 2025-25 season and becomes the Huskies sixth freshman addition for the 2025 class. He joins fellow European prospect Uroš Paunović, who committed earlier this morning along with high schools prospects Braylon Mullins, Eric Reibe, Jacob Ross, and Jacob Furphy.

The 7-foot-3 center spent the past season playing with Besiktas in the Turkey U-19 League. He appeared in 31 games, while averaging 7.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, while shooting 61.5% from the field and 60.0% from the free throw line.
Elezay also played for his country, representing Turkey in the U18 European Championships earlier this year. He appeared in seven games, while averaging 5.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game.
This offseason there has been a massive influx of professional European basketball players coming over the United States to try their hand at playing college basketball and now the Huskies become a part of that trend with the additions of Paunović or Elezay.
These two also became the first Europeans to join the Huskies program since they added Greek wing Apostolos Roumoglou back in the 2022 recruiting class.
