- He said New Yorkers “hated” him in an interview on Fox News.
- “I had a hard time going to a restaurant,” he said.
A New York City restaurant hates to see Sean Hannity coming — by his own admission!
The conservative personality admitted on his self-titled Fox News show that he fled the metropolis because he was pushed to the limit by a few glances — or perhaps glares — he suffered through during an experience at a local eatery.
“It’s not going to impact my life, because I left New York,” Hannity said while discussing the potential for Zohran Mamdani, the son of film director Mira Nair, to win the city’s mayoral race.

“You know why I left New York? High taxes, quality of life, crime,” the 63-year-old stressed, before telling his audience, “I had a hard time going to a restaurant in New York City because people would stare at me and hated me.”
He added, “They had daggers in their eyes.”
Though he escaped unscathed, he allegedly found greener… or… much more red pastures in his new Floridian haven.
“You know what? I’m loved down here in Florida,” Hannity boasted. “Now, I don’t know why New Yorkers are so intolerant, but that was my life in New York. So, I left. It’s one of those decisions I made!”
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a representative for Hannity at Fox for additional comment.
Hannity’s comments come amid a tumultuous time for media personalities in the political landscape. Earlier Wednesday, the White House issued an exclusive statement to EW condemning The View cohost Ana Navarro after she called out “Latino Trumpers” who voted for the current president amid ongoing ICE deportations and raids on immigrants.
“Just when you think Ana Navarro can’t get any dumber, she proves you wrong,” the statement, from White House representative Abigail Jackson, began.

She continued, claiming that “Democrat party approval is at record lows because, instead of accepting that their party is wrong and out of touch with Americans of all backgrounds, they have surrogates like Ana attacking anyone who dares disagree with her.”
