Robert Morgan Fisher’s unpublished novel Thrust Fault was shortlisted for the 2025 Kenneth Patchen Prize for Innovative Fiction. He was nominated for a 2025 Guggenheim Fellowship for his work with veterans. Fisher won the 2020 Montana Humor Prize, 2018 Chester Himes Fiction Prize, was shortlisted for the 2019 John Steinbeck Award and Runner-up for the 2021 Saturday Evening Post Great American Fiction Prize. His fiction and essays have appeared in numerous anthologies and literary journals including The Saturday Evening Post, Upstreet, Pleiades, Cowboy Jamboree Magazine, Storyscape Journal, Teach.
