Nicole Kidman has officially filed for divorce from Keith Urban, according to reports.
The news comes a day after news broke that the couple, who were married in 2006, had separated. Kidman and Urban haven’t been shy in their support of one another over the years, regularly attending each other’s public appearances at various concerts, movie and TV show premieres.
The Oscar winner and country music star share two children, Sunday (17) and Faith (14). Kidman additionally shares two adopted children with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, Isabella and Connor.
Neither Kidman nor Urban have publicly addressed what led to their split. TMZ was the first to report on their separation, with a source telling the outlet that the couple has been living apart since the beginning of the summer.
The Babygirl star shared a photo with Urban in commemoration of their anniversary three months before she filed for divorce. “Happy Anniversary Baby,” she captioned the Instagram post at the time, celebrating 19 years of marriage, whereas the singer’s latest social media post with Kidman is from May, celebrating their time at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards together.
Kidman has recently been working on filming the Practical Magic sequel alongside Sandra Bullock, which wrapped production in September. Meanwhile, Urban has been on the road for his High and Alive World Tour, which follows in the footsteps of his 2024 album High.
Reflecting on their busy family dynamic last year, Kidman told The Hollywood Reporter that they make an effort to “have breakfast together every morning, and we have dinner.”
“How do we do it? I’m kind of not sure. We talk a lot. I also go home early from parties,” she added. “If you don’t go out a lot, I think you have a lot more time than you realize.”
