Jimmy Fallon on Monday imagined how President Donald Trump might spin a potential government shutdown to his own benefit.
As Congress faces a midnight Tuesday deadline to avoid a lapse in funding, Fallon joked: “You know the second the government shuts down, President Trump is going to be like, ‘That’s too bad. I was going to tell Congress to release the Epstein files. Anyway, too bad. That’s too bad. Sorry, not sorry.’”
The punch line drew a massive cheer from the “Tonight Show” studio audience.
