Week 6 of the NFL season is finally here, and once again injuries are a major storyline — especially after several important players suffered injuries in Week 5 that could affect this week and even the remainder of the season. With the season nearly a third of the way over, it’s important for teams to stay healthy, but there are always going to be bumps and bruises and even long-term ailments to deal with each and every week.
With that in mind, in the space below, we’ll take a look at the final injury reports for every team set to play in Week 6 — and what each situation might mean for their chances to win on Sunday or Monday.

Roach practiced in full on Thursday and Friday after being limited Wednesday. That would seem to point toward his being available on Sunday. Powers is still on IR and working his way back into the lineup. Elliss’ absence will somewhat deplete the edge rush depth chart.
The Jets could be without a pair of corners here, as Stephens was limited on Friday after not being on the injury report on Wednesday or Thursday. Lazard did not travel with the team to London.
The Rams could be quite shorthanded on offense here with Havenstein unlikely to play, Parkinson working through the concussion protocol and Atwell potentially out after being limited on Thursday and Friday with a midweek hamstring injury.
The Ravens remain decimated. Jackson will miss another game and Cooper Rush will start in his place. They’re getting some guys back defensively but still won’t have Smith or Awuzie or multiple players up front who were placed on injured reserve. And if Flowers can’t go, Rush will be without his top target at wide receiver.
- Cowboys: G Tyler Booker (calf), WR CeeDee Lamb (ankle), LB Jack Sanborn (concussion), RB Miles Sanders (knee/ankle), WR KaVontae Turpin (foot) OUT; CB DaRon Bland (shoulder), CB Caelen Carson (knee), T Ajani Cornelius (knee), CB Trevon Diggs (knee), DE Marshawn Kneeland (ankle), WR Jonathan Mingo (knee), G Tyler Smith (knee) QUESTIONABLE
- Panthers: RB Chuba Hubbard (calf), RT Taylor Moton (elbow), DT Tershawn Wharton (toe), CB Akayleb Evans (hamstring) OUT; CB Mike Jackson (ribs), CB Chau Smith-Wade (chest), TE Ja’Tavion Sanders (ankle), WR Jalen Coker (quadriceps) QUESTIONABLE
A whole lot remains up in the air for the Cowboys, especially on the offensive line and in the secondary. They’ll get Tyler Guyton back but Booker is out and Smith remains questionable after being limited this week. Lamb’s and Turpin’s absence leaves George Pickens, Jalen Tolbert and Ryan Flournoy as the top targets on the outside. Sanders is going on injured reserve, which should mean more playing time for rookie Jaydon Blue. Dallas’ cornerback situation is in flux with Bland and Diggs questionable and Carson still working to return from IR.
The Panthers will have Rico Dowdle filling in for Hubbard again, and they’ll be without an important piece of their offensive line. Sanders was limited on Friday and appears to be at least getting closer to playing. If the corners can’t go, Carolina will be very shorthanded in the secondary against an explosive Dallas passing game. Coker currently remains on IR but could be activated here.
Murray got in a limited practice on Friday. He’ll be replaced by Jacoby Brissett if he can’t make the start. The defense has potential injury issues at all three levels, though Melton and Wilson did get in limited sessions throughout the week.
Things remain the same for the Colts, who will be without one of their backups to Jonathan Taylor, as well as their starting slot corner.
Seattle’s defense is looking like it could be severely shorthanded, just as it was last week. The secondary, in particular, could have several absences if the doubtful players all end up not suiting up.
The Jags could be without their starting center here, which would specifically have an impact on their run game given Hainsey’s role.
The Chargers remain incredibly banged up pretty much everywhere, including and especially up front on offense. They’ll be starting multiple backups along the offensive line, and of course they’ll also be without both Omarion Hampton and Najee Harris in the backfield. If Johnston is out, more of the passing game will flow through Ladd McConkey and Keenan Allen. The linebacker corps could be affected here as well with both Dupree and Perryman listed questionable.
Miami’s defense, which has been torn apart for most of the year, could be considerably shorthanded in this one. Brewer and Duck were limited throughout the week, so their statuses will likely be determined closer to game time.
Gibson tore his ACL last week and was placed on injured reserve. The New England defense is going to be shorthanded here, and could be even more so if star cornerback Gonzalez can’t play. He did get in limited practice sessions on both Thursday and Friday and has played each of the last two games.
Kamara was limited in practices throughout the week. If he can’t go, the Saints will use a lot of Kendre Miller. Ridgeway remains on injured reserve and is working his way back into the lineup.
Cleveland is very healthy here for Dillon Gabriel’s second career start.
Austin’s absence is a blow to Pittsburgh’s passing game. Ramsey practiced in full on Friday after not practicing at all on Wednesday or Thursday. Players that get in a full session typically play on Sunday. Jaylen Warren has no game status and will return after missing Week 4 in Dublin.
Tennessee will have a new kicker on Sunday. Latham is listed as questionable but expected to return to the lineup. Key’s absence hurts the pass rush, while Jefferson would take away from the receiver depth if he has to sit out.
Bowers will miss his second consecutive game. Michael Mayer is back for this one and will likely fill the role.
- Bengals: DE Shemar Stewart (ankle) DOUBTFUL; WR Ja’Marr Chase (illness), G Dylan Fairchild (knee), C Matt Lee (knee), G Lucas Patrick (calf) QUESTIONABLE
- Packers: DL Devonte Wyatt (knee), OT Anthony Belton (ankle), WR Christian Watson (knee) OUT; K Brandon McManus (right quadricep), OT Rasheed Walker (quadricep), OT Zach Tom (oblique/neck), OG Aaron Banks (groin/knee), CB Nate Hobbs (concussion), C/G Jacob Monk (hamstring) QUESTIONABLE
The big news for the Bengals is that Chase was sent home Friday after reporting that he felt sick on Thursday night. If he can’t go, it would significantly hamper their offense in what should be Joe Flacco’s first start. The interior of the offensive line is a bit banged up as well with three players listed as questionable.
The Packers have a bunch of offensive linemen whose statuses are in question here. They might have to reshuffle some things up front, as they have been for much of this season. Watson is getting closer to returning from injured reserve but isn’t quite there yet, while Hobbs remains in the concussion protocol and has to pass through to be ready for Sunday.
- 49ers: QB Brock Purdy (toe), WR Ricky Pearsall (knee), DL Kevin Givens (pectoral), DL Yetus Gross-Matos (knee/hamstring), WR Jordan Watkins (calf) OUT; WR Jauan Jennings (ankle/rib), QB Mac Jones (knee/oblique) DL Alfred Collins (knee), DL Kalia Davis (hand), S Malik Mustapha (knee), CB Upton Stout (ankle) QUESTIONABLE
- Buccaneers: WR Mike Evans (hamstring), WR Chris Godwin (fibula), RB Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder), CB Zyon McCollum (thumb), CB Benjamin Morrison (hamstring), RB Josh Williams (concussion) OUT; DB Christian Izien (quad) QUESTIONABLE
Purdy is out and Jones is expected to start in his place for the fourth time this season. Pearsall remains out but Jennings could make his return. It sounds like Purdy, Pearsall and George Kittle (still on IR) could be possibilities for next week. San Franciso is very banged up along the defensive line here, but it looks like Mustapha should return in the secondary after he practiced in full on Friday.
Tampa will be without two of its top three wide receivers, as well as its starting running back once again. The Bucs are also going to be down two of their starting corners and could be without a backup. The skill positions on both sides are pretty banged up.
None of Branch, Joseph, Maddox, Decker, or Manu practiced Friday. The Lions will be very shorthanded defensively here, and could be even more so if the three questionable players in the secondary end up being unable to suit up. Decker and Manu’s potential absences would also be an issue for the offensive line. McNeill seems like he’s getting closer to returning to the lineup but isn’t ready just yet. Amon-Ra St. Brown is not listed after missing an early-week practice with a wrist issue.
Everyone is healthy for Kansas City after Xavier Worthy returned to practice on Friday.
