Reba McEntire isn’t just a “survivor,” she’s a disruptor. And this time, she’s setting her sights on AI-generated images.
Recently, internet rumors began swirling about the health of country superstar Dolly Parton, a longtime friend of McEntire’s. Things escalated when a fake AI image surfaced purporting to show the two singers together in a hospital.
McEntire chimed in after Parton herself shut down the speculation.
“You tell ’em, Dolly,” McEntire wrote in an Instagram Story on Thursday, according to Entertainment Weekly. “That AI mess has got us doing all kinds of crazy things. You’re out there dying, I’m out here having a baby. Well, both of us know you’re too young, and I’m too old for any of that kind of nonsense.”
Expressing her affection for Parton, she added: “But you better know I’m praying for you. I love you with all my heart, and I can’t wait to see you soon. Love you!”

Addressing the fake image on Wednesday, Parton said, “We both looked like we needed to be buried.”
In true Parton fashion, the country legend made her continued presence known in a video captioned “I ain’t dead yet!”
“Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here,” Parton stated.
“I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease ― those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate,” she said, later adding, “I can always use prayers for anything and everything, but I want you to know that I’m OK.”
