If you’re in the market for a new Android phone, head on over to Best Buy, where the retailer has discounted several OnePlus models. For a limited time, you can buy a 256GB OnePlus 13R in either Astral Trail (white) or Nebula Noir (black) for $550 — a $50 discount.

This deal applies to the Unlocked version of the OnePlus 13R. If you connect the mobile device to Verizon or AT&T, the price drops even lower to $450.
The OnePlus 13R is the midrange version of the OnePlus 13. Although it isn’t as powerful as the flagship, the 13R still manages to impress. For starters, it houses a 6.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen that supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ to deliver brilliant visual output. What’s interesting about the display is that it comes with Aqua Touch. This is a unique feature that “allows you to use the phone in the rain… without registering water droplets as taps”, according to ZDNET Contributing Writer Parkhar Khanna, who reviewed the phone earlier this year.
Review: OnePlus 13R
Inside, the smartphone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with 12GB of RAM, ensuring fast and fluid performance. The device uses the OxygenOS 15 operating system. Not only does the OS provide a clean-looking interface, but it is also slated to receive “four years of OS updates and six years of security updates.”
Other notable features of the OnePlus 13R include a large 6,000mAh battery for all-day power, 80W fast charging that allows the phone to go from zero to a full charge in about 30 minutes, and an IP65 resistance rating.
How I rated this deal
As per ZDNET’s rating system, I give the deal a score of 1/5. $50 off the 256GB OnePlus 13R isn’t a steep price drop, admittedly, but it is a nice bonus on top of a midrange phone. It’s significantly cheaper than the OnePlus 13 and performs at a similar level. I recommend this mobile device to anyone looking to upgrade, but who can’t afford a premium price.
As per OnePlus, this deal ends on October 19.
