Rescuers save worker from partially collapsed medieval tower in Rome

Rescuers in Rome on Monday pulled alive a worker trapped when a medieval tower partly collapsed during renovation, city authorities said. The man was taken to hospital with injuries. Prefect Lamberto Giannini described the effort as a “long rescue mission.”
