Vinícius Jr.’s future at Real Madrid may be up in the air, and PSG could stand to gain from the situation. After the 2025-26 season, the Brazilian will have only one year left on his contract, which expires in June 2027.
That timeline puts pressure on the Spanish club to secure a new deal, or they might face the tough choice of selling him next summer instead of risking losing him for free.
With Kylian Mbappé arriving last year, Real Madrid could also see an opportunity to cash in on Vinícius at peak value and use the funds to build a squad around the former PSG star.
Real Madrid Could Sell Vinícius Jr. Soon
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that Vinícius has a €150 million price tag set by Real Madrid. There is notable tension between Vinícius Júnior and Xabi Alonso, and a transfer remains a possibility.
El Chiringuito recently reported that Real Madrid has set a minimum price of €150 million for Vinícius after contract extension talks stalled. Tensions between Vinícius and manager Xabi Alonso also appear unresolved, leading Los Blancos to expect keen interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, both reports follow news from transfer insider Graeme Bailey, who told The Chelsea Chronicle that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is eager to sign a “generational player” such as Vinicius, even if it conflicts with the club’s focus on younger, developing talents.
Bailey also noted that Boehly is particularly attracted to the “commercial benefits” the Real Madrid star could bring to Stamford Bridge. The insider still believes the most likely outcome is Vinicius signing a new deal with Real Madrid, though he’s reportedly “not happy” and feels “unsettled” in Spain.
Meanwhile, SPORT reports that Vinicius would be open to playing for Luis Enrique at PSG. It will be interesting to see how this entire saga transpires, but Mbappé could see the Neymar Jr. story repeat itself in Spain.
