The Tennessee Titans and New York Giants lost in competitive nature in Week 11.
That’s the most beneficial type of result for both teams because they played respectable football, but also remained in the top two of the projected 2026 NFL draft order.
Tennessee is still the only NFL team with a single win. The Titans will finish yet another week on top of the draft order. The Giants are right behind them at No. 2 after they lost in Jameis Winston’s first start for the franchise.
Updated 2026 NFL Draft Order
The Titans lost their ninth game of the season in the final seconds. Cam Ward and Co. were competitive with their AFC South rival, the Houston Texans, but they couldn’t pull off the upset.
Ward displayed some progress, as did the Titans defense, but they are still the worst team in the NFL.
Tennessee could easily end up 1-11 at the end of its home stand since it faces the Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars in the next two weeks.
There are two winnable games left on the Titans schedule against the Cleveland Browns in Week 14 and versus the New Orleans Saints in Week 17. Both of those games will be vital in deciding how the top five shakes out.
The Giants will likely have 11 losses prior to their Week 14 bye. They visit the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots in Weeks 12 and 13.
The most likely chances for the Giants to pick up wins come in Week 15 versus the Washington Commanders and in Week 17 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The New Orleans Saints, who were off in Week 11, have an even tougher schedule in the next month. They won’t get any relief until they face the New York Jets and the Titans in Weeks 16 and 17.
Speaking of the Jets, they could be headed for another long losing streak prior to their Week 16 clash with the Saints.
Before those draft-affecting clashes, the Cleveland Browns play the Raiders in Week 12 and the Titans in Week 14. The Browns can either play their way out of the top five, or stay mired in the hunt for the top pick.
The Cleveland-Las Vegas loser, the Titans, Giants, Jets and Saints should at least be in the top-five mix until mid-December before the handful of head-to-head meetings take place.
