The Detroit Lions couldn’t make their mark on the NFC against the defending Super Bowl champions on Sunday night, falling to the Philadelphia Eagles 16-9.
The Lions played as well of a game on defense as they’ve played all season, but the offense couldn’t get anything going. Pressure from the Eagles’ pass rush kept quarterback Jared Goff off his game throughout the night, and a handful of failed conversions and poor decisions left points on the board that could’ve made a difference in the game.

The loss keeps the Lions out of first place in the NFC North with matchups with all three division foes still on the schedule down the line. With all of the failures on offense on Sunday night, there were also some spectacular individual performances to build on going forward for Detroit.
Let’s take a look at some of the most notable individual performances from the Lions on Sunday night:
Stud: Jack Campbell
Linebacker Jack Campbell continued his All-Pro campaign on Sunday night, leading the Lions defense to one of its best performances of the season despite the loss.
Campbell could take credit for at least five stops of the Eagles offense himself, and was in on just about every gang tackle as usual. He finished with seven total tackles.

Dud: Jared Goff
Quarterback Jared Goff played one of his worst games as a Lion on Sunday night, and couldn’t get into any kind of rhythm due to the constant pressure from the Eagles defense. Goff was sacked only twice but took several hits.
Goff entered the game as the league’s most accurate passer, but completed less than 40% of his passes against the Eagles. He finished 14 of 37 for 255 yards, one touchdown, and an interception.
Stud: Penei Sewell
Despite the general ineptitude of the Lions offensive line on Sunday night, Penei Sewell performed monstrously as always.
Sewell was a lead blocker on a couple of the Lions’ chunk plays despite being clearly bothered by an ankle issue during this game. He was the most consistent blocker on an inconsistent night.

Dud: Tate Ratledge
Rookie guard Tate Ratledge had a tough night from start to finish against the Eagles. Ratledge missed some time early after going down with what looked to be a knee issue, but returned to the game later on only to get repeatedly squashed by the Eagles defensive line.
Ratledge was the Lions’ worst-ranked pass blocker on Sunday night, according to Pro Football Focus, giving up three hurries and three pressures.
Dud: Graham Glasgow
Center Graham Glasgow turned in another dud of a performance in Week 11, allowing constant pressure up the middle from the Eagles, who repeatedly batted down passes from Jared Goff if they weren’t already breathing down his neck.

Glasgow was seemingly beaten on every play by some combination of Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis. The Lions clearly had a plan to run up the middle on multiple drives but couldn’t muster much with the breakdown of the offensive line starting at center.
