Josh Allen surpassed Patrick Mahomes the fastest player in NFL history to record 300 total touchdowns in the regular season and playoffs.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback hit the milestone in his 127th career game during Thursday’s Week 3 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.
The previous record was held by Mahomes, who hit the milestone in 128 games with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Allen went into Thursday night’s game having recorded 298 total touchdowns in 126 career games in the regular season and playoffs, according to NFL media.
That total included 222 passing touchdowns, 74 rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns, according to the NFL.
Allen started out Thursday night’s game with a 20-yard touchdown to Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid on the opening drive.
The quarterback gave the Bills the lead on the following drive by starting out the second quarter with a shovel touchdown pass to rookie tight end Jackson Hawes.
Allen has recorded at least 40 total touchdowns in each of his last two seasons for the Bills, including during his MVP campaign in 2024.
He racked up four total touchdowns in the Bills’ 41-40 season-opening win over the Baltimore Ravens. Allen has now recorded at least two rushing and two receiving touchdowns in a seven games, which stands as the most in NFL history, per NFL.com researcher Dante Koplowitz-Fleming.
Allen was then held without a touchdown in a Week 2 win over the New York Jets as James Cook ran in two of his own.
The Bills won their first three games of the 2024 campaign and went on to finish with a 13-3 record. Allen will look to lead his team to a second straight 3-0 season start with a victory over the Dolphins on Thursday night in New York.
