This season marks the 71st edition of Europe’s most prestigious club competition, and the 34th under the name UEFA Champions League. The tournament began on July 8, 2025, and will conclude with the grand final at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest on May 30, 2026.
The league phase runs from September to January, featuring eight matchdays spread over several weeks before giving way to the knockout rounds: play-offs in February, round of 16 in March, quarter-finals in April, semi-finals at the end of April and early May, and the final in May. The competition unfolds according to a precise draw calendar—highly anticipated moments for both fans and clubs—which shapes the matchups and the entire structure of the tournament.
The draw for the knockout play-off round is scheduled for January 30, 2026. As for the draws for the round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals, these will take place on February 27, 2026.
These draws, organized by UEFA, are traditionally held in Nyon, Switzerland, and broadcast live.
