PORT ST. LUCIE — A crash on Southwest Gemini Lane and Southwest Thornhill Drive the morning of Aug. 15 resulted in an 11-year-old girl being flown to the hospital with serious injuries, according to law enforcement officials.
The girl was flown by helicopter to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach with serious injuries, according to Officer Brittany Holly, Port St. Lucie Police spokesperson.
The crash involved a vehicle and the girl, who was walking to her bus stop. The girl was the only one with injuries, according to Holly.

The area is currently blocked off by Port St. Lucie Police.
