The Philadelphia Eagles have a bad history of losing in the Tampa heat, and they’re going to do their best to avoid that this time around.
Per NBC Philadelphia’s John Clark, the Eagles have changed their travel plans to arrive in Tampa a day early for their meeting with the Buccaneers. The earlier arrival could give them the chance to work out in the Florida heat and humidity before playing in it on Sunday.
Clark noted that Philadelphia has lost three of its last four games in Tampa.
Getting into town a day early might not make a huge difference, but the Eagles will take all the help they can get to avoid losing another contest to the Bucs on the road.
The reigning Super Bowl champs have looked strong through the first three weeks, beating the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs in Weeks 1 and 2 before downing the Los Angeles Rams on a blocked field goal on Sunday.
The Bucs are also 3-0 after winning narrow games against the Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans and New York Jets.
