Ecuadorean President Daniel Noboa’s car was surrounded by about 500 protesters hurling rocks as he arrived for an event in Canar province, a minister said on Tuesday, adding there were “signs of bullet damage” on the vehicle. Noboa was unharmed and five people were detained, the minister added.
