Two prominent Israeli human rights organizations have concluded in a new report that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza—marking the first time Jewish-led groups within Israel have made such allegations during nearly 22 months of war. The findings by B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights–Israel intensify an already explosive debate over whether Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, launched in response to Hamas’ deadly October 7, 2023 attack, which killed approximately 1,200 people and led to the abduction of more than 250, constitutes genocide. For in-depth analysis and a broader perspective, FRANCE 24’s Mark Owen welcomes Sarit Michaeli, International Director of B’Tselem.
