Iran on Sunday condemned the “unjustifiable” reinstatement of United Nations sanctions over its nuclear programme, which took effect overnight. Iran said it would “firmly defend its national rights and interests” after Western powers triggered the “snapback” sanctions mechanism following failed negotiations.
