Lebanese President Joseph Aoun told visiting US officials Sunday that Beirut was combating money laundering and terrorism financing, days after Washington sanctioned three Hezbollah members. The US delegation, led by counterterrorism director Sebastian Gorka, visited as Washington moves to curb funding for Iran-backed Hezbollah and push for its disarmament.
