Leonardo DiCaprio has social media users raising their eyebrows after he was photographed boarding billionaire Jeff Bezos’ mega yacht.
The actor, a known environmentalist, was seen boarding the vessel, reportedly worth an estimated $500 million, over the weekend while with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti.
In the snapshots published by TMZ on Monday, Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sanchez, appeared to greet DiCaprio and Ceretti before the group cruised to Ibiza.
Reddit users didn’t hesitate to blast DiCaprio over his outing with Bezos.
“I feel like so many celebrities are just going full mask-off right now,” someone wrote. “On one hand, it’s nice (?) they are no longer pretending to be righteous do-gooders, but it also feels so dystopian for someone like him to just fully embrace cozying up to MAGA billionaires after so many years of pretending to care about progressive causes.”
The user added: “He at least felt enough shame to try and hide from the paps when he attended the Bezos wedding, now he is greeting Bezos arm-in-arm on his yacht.”
Another Reddit user recalled the 2016 controversy surrounding DiCaprio after he reportedly flew 8,000 miles on a private jet from Europe to New York City to accept an award for his environmental activism.
“He accepted an award for climate change by flying in a private jet to attend the ceremony…” the user noted.
Reps for DiCaprio didn’t immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.
The “Titanic” star and Ceretti caused a stir back in June after the couple attended Bezos and Sanchez’s star-studded nuptials in Venice.
DiCaprio notably hid his face with a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap as photographers attempted to take pictures of him as he boarded a water taxi bound for the newlyweds’ bash.

The A-lister’s dodgy behavior sparked speculation from social media users who questioned whether DiCaprio didn’t want to be seen in attendance because of his so-called status as an environmentalist.
Bezos and Sanchez’s Venice wedding drew criticism on the internet over its reportedly high carbon footprint, considering around 90 private jets flew in for the lavish celebration.
The newlyweds were also viewed as careless by critics who called out Bezos, who has pledged money to combat climate change through his Bezos Earth Fund, for labeling himself as an environmentalist while being involved in activities that significantly contribute to carbon emissions.
