If anyone wants to make a movie about the life and career of Bill Belichick, Mark Wahlberg is ready to offer his services to play the legendary coach.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Wahlberg said he wants to play Belichick in a film because he is the “greatest coach of all time.”
Also in the video, Wahlberg said “of course” when asked if he was looking forward to Cardi B potentially appearing on the Patriots sidelines in an upcoming game now that she is dating wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
That question came one week after Victoria Gibson and Jayda Kamryn Hawkins, the wives of Patriots players Antonio Gibson and Jordan Hawkins, used social media to invite Cardi B to a Patriots tailgate.
As for the prospects of a film on Belichick’s career, there’s no indication that anything is in the works.
Even if the movie never comes together, Wahlberg did note he would have “no problem” if Belichick and Jordon Hudson wanted to go on a double date with him and his wife.
Wahlberg does have experience with football as an actor. He starred in the based-on-a-true-story 2006 film Invincible about Vince Papale’s journey from being a substitute teacher to playing for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1976 to ’78.
