Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa arrived in the US on Ssturday where he is due to meet with President Donald Trump at the White House – the first such visit by a Syrian president since the country’s independence in 1946. Ahead of al-Sharaa’s visit the leader was removed from the US terrorism blacklist.
