“28 Years Later” is currently the top movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.
The third installment in the “28 Days Later” franchise picks up nearly three decades after the Rage virus broke out in the original 2002 post-apocalyptic film, with a group of survivors living on a small, remote island. However, when one wanders into the heart of the mainland, he soon discovers a mutation that has spread to other survivors, too.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, Alfie Williams, Jodie Comer, Christopher Fulford, Edvin Ryding, Stella Gonet and Jack O’Connell star in the film.
“28 Years Later” became a huge horror hit over the summer, and a sequel, “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” directed by Nia DaCosta, is already on the way — with Fiennes, Williams and O’Connell all reprising their roles. The movie hits theaters on Jan. 16.
