Former FBI director James Comey pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to criminal charges accusing him of making false statements to Congress and obstructing a congressional investigation, in the first prosecution by the Justice Departmant against one of US President Donald Trump’s political foes. Comey faces up to five years in prison if he is convicted.
