US uses drug trafficking as pretence to force regime change in Venezuela

As Donald Trump confirms CIA action in Venezuela, the US president cites concerns over drug trafficking as a way to oust Nicolas Maduro from power and enforce a regime change. It is also the sign of a new policy era for the CIA, which should be ‘going places no one can go and doing things no one else can do’, according to its new director John Ratcliffe.
